NEWS & Events...
The 2008 Annual Fundraiser which took place on the evening of June 11th, was a fabulous affair!  Approx. 250 of our members and friends attended the event, which featured an evening relaxing and networking, while feasting on a sumptuous repast provided by Anthony's Pier 4.

Mayor Menino was on hand to assist in honoring our "Person of the Year", Marvin Gilmore (President & CEO of the Community Development Corp. of Boston and one of the original founders of the NBA) and even offered up to let people bid on lunch with him, for the live auction. 8 People took him up on his offer at $500. each, thus raising $4000. toward our total.   Bidding for both the live and silent auctions was spirited and when the dust settled, we had raised over $30,000. toward our charitable efforts in the Newmarket area.

Many thanks to all of our members who attended, donated items, and/or bid on the auction items!

There are many local Organizations that work to provide a better quality of life for those living in the “Newmarket” area. Through the monies raised at our Annual Fundraiser, the Newmarket Business Association is proud to be able to assist these organizations in their mission to help those in need in our extended neighborhood.

The generosity of our members and friends has helped us to assist these and other local educational and charitable organizations in the past two years.
