Everyone Was A Winner As NBA
Again Nets Record Donations!!
The competition was fierce for a few hours
on Wednesday, March 26th, in the lobby of The Citizen’s Bank in
Newmarket Square. The theme of this year’s annual NBA Fundraiser was
Spring Training.
Nearly 100 NBA members and friends were treated to an evening of fun and
camaraderie.
This “fun” networking night is the principle “fund”raising
vehicle for the Association’s monetary contributions to those in need in
the Newmarket area.
The evening was highlighted by an exciting live auction
which featured a Red Sox Luxury Box donated by Citizen’s Bank, round-trip
motor coach transportation for 55 people to The Mohegan Sun Casino donated
by Paul Revere Transportation and a carpenter’s services for 40 hours
donated by Suffolk Construction Company.
More than 50 items were auctioned off and thanks to the
generosity of all of our donors and bidders, a record $10,300 was
collected. Way to go Newmarket!!! It just goes to show that NBA members
know how to have fun and raise funds for those less fortunate than
ourselves.
Many thanks to Mary Alibrandi at Citizen’s Bank for once
again being a terrific host and to Elaine & Bonnie Gossels, Charlie
Georgenes, Charlie & Barbara Killian, and many others for once again being
in the right place at the right time to help.
